Osteoarthritis of the hip
Osteoarthritis of the hip

arcOGEN is a study involving a UK-wide consortium funded by Arthritis Research UK. Our aim is to identify the genetic determinants of osteoarthritis (OA), the commonest form of arthritis, by carrying out a large-scale genome-wide association scan.

arcOGEN consists of 16 investigators from 11 centres in the United Kingdom.

In the near future arcOGEN will facilitate managed access to its resources. Research investigators will be able to access genotype and phenotype data as well as the OA patient DNA biobank that arcOGEN has generated

Access will be via the European Genome-phenome Archive (EGA).
